Welcome! I’m Casey Lynn Griebel.
I’m delighted to share my story with you. My love for nature photography began in childhood, exploring the natural beauty of Connecticut with my black lab at my side. Some of my earliest memories involve ducking under the single chain gate to a quiet dirt road beyond our farmhouse where we would explore fields, forests, and streams. These formative times taught me that nature is a place of wonder, peace, and healing.
That bond deepened after receiving one of my most memorable Christmas gifts—a Kodak EasyShare digital camera. From that day, my love for photography and nature fused. I found myself wandering with both my precious camera and faithful Labrador, capturing the quiet beauty around me.
As I’ve grown, so has my passion. National park trips have gifted me with the opportunties to capture their unique stunning beauty. The diverse flora and fauna in these environments continue to fascinate me, each thriving in its own way. I am especially drawn to the small, intricate details in nature—the rugged surfaces of rocks, the repeating patterns of ferns, or the delicate sharpness of a single thistle. These subtle, often overlooked elements are where I find the most beauty and wonder.
My photography isn’t limited to landscapes. I delight in capturing the essence of the animal kingdom, whether it’s a parade of ducklings or the treasured glimpses of wildlife in the National parks. Capturing the spirit of an animal and sharing that moment is one of my greatest joys.
Having faced the challenges of depression, I’ve come to understand the powerful connection between nature and art in the healing process. Through my photography, I aim to offer not just images but a sense of calm, reflection, and relief—a quiet space for you to find comfort, no matter what you’re going through.
